Aroma Academy Sensory Training Course (Foundation Level)

We are pleased to announce the new dates in 2023 for our Aroma Academy Foundation Level Sensory Training Course.  The first one will be on Saturday 21stJanuary 2023 from 10am to 2pm.

This course will be suitable for those who’d like to further their understanding in sensory training. The programme provides a fantastic introduction to Sensory Skills, the Sense of Smell and to the basic methodologies and tools to allow the development of your Aroma Recognition Skills.

Topics included in the course are: an introduction to aroma/flavour recognition, aroma/flavour vocabulary, calibrating your nose, how aromas/flavours behave, aroma profiling, aroma/flavour faults and competency systems. Unique to Camellia and Vine, we will also feature a selection of key wine and tea flavours during the training.

The course is suitable for all audiences, but especially those who are interested in developing their sensory skills in wine and tea.

The price £199 includes the 4-hour in-person workshop and 1 hour online exam (time to be arranged separately). Those who pass the exam will receive a certificate. Please note the exam is optional. If taking the exam is not for you, you can attend the course day without booking for the assessment for £120.

About the Aroma Academy course trainer:

Leona De Pasquale is the Founder and Chief Educator of Camellia and Vine. She is the first accredited Aroma Academy trainer in England and is also a wine educator for the WSET, Bordeaux and Madeira Wines. Leona obtained her Tea Sommelier Qualification from the UK Tea Academy.
